Red, White & Kaboom is back. In honor of the upcoming Independence Day celebration, we’ve decided to answer commonly asked questions about the event, just for you.
What is it?
A free Independence Day celebration, featuring music, food, and fireworks. Guests are asked to bring canned food items to the event, which will go to Volunteers in Service of the Elderly. Donations can also be made online.
When + Where?
Festivities start Saturday, July 3 at 6 p.m., with the firework show starting at 9 p.m. Grab a spot at Lake Mirror (specifically, on the Frances Langford Promenade) for the show.
Who’s playing?
60 West Band, a Tampa Bay-based professional cover band who was recently voted Best of the Bay in the categories of Best Vocalist and Best Local Release.
Are there bathrooms?
Free public restrooms surround Lake Mirror, including ADA-accessible restrooms at each station. You can find exact locations using this map.
Where should I park?
Street parking, parking garages, and parking lots are free + unlimited after 5 p.m. Prior to 5 p.m., street parking is available for 2 hours and parking lots are pay-by-space.
What can I eat?

Can I bring alcohol?
Yes, but no glass bottles or containers.
Can I bring my pets?
You can bring leashed pets. Just remember: not all pets love fireworks as much as their human counterparts do.
What if it rains?
Events will take place regardless of the weather. Come prepared with a rain jacket or personal umbrella, but no tents or umbrellas that need to be staked.
