Spread the love

Students from throughout Polk County had a chance to show off their STEM knowledge at the Polk Regional Science and Engineering Fair (PRSEF). The annual event, hosted last month by PCPS, features projects from middle and high school students from the county’s public, private and charter schools. The first-place winners will advance to compete at the State Science and Engineering Fair of Florida, scheduled for March 29-31 at the RP Funding Center in Lakeland. In addition, the high school students who won Best of Fair honors at PRSEF will be able to compete at the International Science and Engineering Fair in May in Atlanta. The Best of Fair winners at the middle school level are: Paige Boos and Logan Stripling from Dundee Ridge Middle Academy, and Zahaira Cromwell from Academy Prep Center of Lakeland. The Best of Fair winners at the high school level are: Zane Carter and Carmela Fetherlin from Haines City High IB. PCPS would like to congratulate all of the winners and participants from this year’s fair. Click here to see the full results.
