Graduation Details Announced for PCPS Class of 2022

Spread the love

Dear families, It’s an exciting time as we prepare to graduate this year’s senior class. As you know, many of our high schools host their graduation ceremonies at the RP Funding Center in Lakeland. In order to maintain a safe seating capacity, tickets will be required for those attending ceremonies at the RP Funding Center. We were able to work with the venue’s staff to ensure that we can provide each graduating student with the maximum number of tickets possible. While planning, we were informed that there are two seating options: Option one allowed 2,800 seats for guests, while option two would allow 3,400. In order to maximize seating, we chose to eliminate the backdrop and expand seating behind the stage. This change allows us to utilize 3,400 seats. It is important to note that the number of tickets per student will vary by school. The total number of tickets allocated to each student is based on the size of the graduating class, and the seats available. Each school will announce its own ticket limits. Seats will not be assigned. Instead, seating will be general admission and on a first-come, first-served basis. Knowing the importance of this event and that some family members may not be able to attend in person, the ceremonies at the RP Funding Center will also be live-streamed on the school district’s YouTube channel.
